Expert Childcare With A Difference
At St Christopher's we believe that children should be allowed to develop at their own pace. We want to give them as many new, interesting and stimulating experiences as we can, to delevolop their knowledge, imagination and personality. We try to help them grow as confident individuals.
We have also been in your shoes and understand what a parent is going through when they choose a nursery for their child. We have two full time qualified teachers who work in and manage our Early years department. All our teaching assistants have many years of experience working with children and parents and are qualified to Level 3 and Level 4.
We work closely with Ruth Levy (EY2P), an Early Years adviser, so our provison is giving your child the very best Nursery experience. We ensure that we are using the very latest teaching methods. All staff undergo a rigorous training schedule so the children are expertly supported throughout all their learning opportunities.
The exciting imaginative outdoor play area ignites the children's enthusiam for play and learning. The excellent facilities and resourses enable the children to throughly develop their senses, investigate and explore.
As well as communicating in person we have Tapestry which is our on line tool to show you exactly what your child is doing. It is also an opportunity to show us pictures and films of your child at home. Over their time in our Nursery this become a record of their time in our Nursery and somethingh you can keep.
If you require extended hours we offer wrap around care with our Busy Bee's Club, The Busy Bees Club is staffed by three experienced members of staff. One member of staff is employed in the Nursery and will know your child. The Club opens at 7.30 a.m. and closes at 5.30 p.m.
Happy School Family
The Nursery children are also very much a part of the school and take part in school events. Parents are encouraged to come in and join their children in Nursery to see them in the department. On a Friday you are invited into assembly to see the children and experience the special family atmosphere.
Many of our children stay at St Christopher's and continue into the Primary school and then go onto St Damian's High School. Both are Outstanding schools and St Christopher's Primary School was recently ranked by the Sunday Times as the 48th best school in the country.
We encourage parents and grandpararents to visit our Nursery and experience the special atmosphere and care that we offer. You can also ask other parents about the Nursery and see how happy they are.
