Governors Statement 2017-18

St Christopher's is a Roman Catholic Primary School in the Diocese of Salford.

The Governing Body is dedicated to steering the strategic direction of the school by empowering the Headteacher, children and all staff to achieve their vision as follows:

A school where children and adults aspire to be more, not to have more.

A school where children are motivated in lessons; know how to learn and achieve the highest standards.

A school that delivers an exciting and balanced curriculum.

A school where teachers, adults and children are constantly learning and working hard.

A school where everyone works as a team, and has very high expectations.

A school that is a happy family and cares for all.

We serve a school and community that is rooted in the teachings and gospel values of the Roman catholic Church.

We act as "critical friends" to the Headteacher and Senior leadership Team, reviewing the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff.

We oversee the financial performance of the school ensuring money is appropriately spent.
